Envoy & Partners supports second acquisition in first month of operation.
Envoy & Partners – the recently launched de-merger of the Global Energy Group – has announced its second acquisition in its first month of operation. Via its mechanical & electrical engineering platform RSE, the company has announced a majority shareholding investment in Leeds-based Saftronics.
Formed in 1979, Saftronics specialise in the design and manufacture of process control systems and LV switchboards for a wide variety of applications in the Oil & Gas, Chemical, Power and Utility Markets.
The acquisition marks a positive step for RSE, adding enhanced capabilities and 110 engineering and technical skills to its existing 650-strong workforce.
Envoy Managing Partner, Iain MacGregor, commented: “Our RSE business has developed as one of the country’s leading MEICA contractors in recent years. To meet growing demand for our service, we were attracted to Saftronics for its reputation, its technical skills and its 2,400 m2 manufacturing and testing facility in Leeds. It is our ambition to replicate this capability in Scotland to more locally service the needs of customers who enjoy the benefits of our innovative approach.”
Whilst creating new jobs in the North and East of Scotland, RSE Managing Director, Allan Dallas, highlighted RSE’s ambition to generate sustainable employment through its multi market hedging approach:
“Through the downturn we were able to attract skills from the Oil & Gas sector and then retain them within our multi market approach. We find that employees are attracted to a more predictable and longer-term employment status, which also provides job and industry variety.”
